ACCESS

Comcast:  Comcast is offering free internet service to low-income households.  To qualify for Comcast’s Internet Essentials service, customers must be eligible for public-assistance programs such as the National School Lunch Program, Housing Assistance, Medicaid, SNAP, or SSI.

American Auto Club (AAA):  Comprehensive list of places to virtually visit including zoos, aquariums, and national parks

Expeditions app (download from the App Store or Google Play):  Google will let you explore US National Parks via 360-degree virtual tours. A local ranger will guide you through each park, allowing you do to thinks like fly over an active volcano in Hawaii, snorkel coral reefs in the Dry Tortuga's, kayak through Alaska's fjords, explore the Carlsbad Caverns, or hike the Bryce Canyon.


WELLNESS

Tai Chi: Moving for Better Balance:  Direction Home is offering our very first live virtual Tai Chi workshop!  Over the course of 12 classes, participants will learn 8 forms of Yang-style Tai Chi, specifically chosen for those who have concerns about falls.  Join us beginning April 13th and start your journey improving your strength, balance, and flexibility.  Classes will be held each Monday, Wednesday, and Friday from 10:30-11:30 using Zoom (computer with stable internet access, webcam and microphone needed).  Please plan on attending all the classes as participants learn one to two forms each session until all 8 forms are learned.  Questions?  Please contact Lori Smith at lsmith@dhad.org or 330-899-5255.  CLICK HERE to register.
