The 2019 Direction Home Akron Canton Area Agency on Aging and Disabilities Harvey L. Sterns Lifetime Achievement Award
Akron Mayor Daniel M. Horrigan has been named as the recipient of the 2019 Direction Home Akron Canton Area Agency on Aging and Disabilities Harvey L. Sterns Lifetime Achievement Award. Mayor Horrigan's revival of the Mayor's Senior Citizens Commission as well the announcement of the City of Akron's pursuit of inclusion as an Age Friendly City have sparked a conversation about the growing population of older adults.
